I-DARE Teambuilding Day
At Rosyth, we aim to develop our Rosythians holistically in values and character. The I-DARE Teambuilding Day provides opportunities for our students to develop positive peer relationships and a sense of teamwork amongst classmates. They also get to experience outdoor learning in outdoor settings and develop greater resilience as they participate in challenging outdoor activities.
P4 Cohort LJ: Geylang Serai Heritage Gallery
History comes alive for our Primary 4 students during the learning Journey to Geylang Serai Heitage Gallery. Students delved into the history of Geylang Serai and played the role of explorers to understand its importance to the Malay and Muslim communities in Singapore. Students get to hear stories and view artifacts at the gallery. Also, the students took a precinct walk to the Geylang Serai market, where they observed the bustling atmosphere of Malay, Indian, and Chinese food stalls, along with the diverse display of Malay traditional clothing and aromatic spice stalls. The students gained insights into the history of Geylang Serai and its pivotal role in the Malay and Muslim communities, making the learning journey an enriching experience.
Primary 4 Museum-Based Learning
The Museum-based Learning (MBL) experience is designed to provide the breadth and depth of learning local art as part of all Primary 4 students’ core learning experience in the art curriculum. The experience comprises pre-, during- and post-visit experiences to one of the local art museums where students are involved as artists and audience to create and appreciate art. MBL culminates in a showcase of students’ art expression that will form part of the collective memory for all students.
